Married-Pair Cables for Stand Ups

The 50 foot Married-Pair Cable is a two-pair XLR cable for use with stick mics and IFB beltpacks.

The Talent-End of the Married-Pair cable is staggered in length. The Microphone cable is 36 inches long, a perfect length for stand-ups and interviews. The IFB cable is 6 inches long, this keeps the married-pair cable right at the talent’s side without excess cable. On the DT breakout-box side, the tails are 12 inches long.

All of the connectors are wired in the direction of signal flow, no need for turnarounds. The Microphone-XLR is female to the microphone and male to the breakout-box. The IFB-XLR is male to the IFB and female to the breakout-box.

The XLR connectors are discreetly color coded with rings to help quickly identify which married-pair goes with which on-air talent. The color code matches the color code on the Broadcast Announcer Booth Mult – Red for Play-by-Play, Blue for Color, Green for Spare (Color2) and Yellow for Aux (Spare.)

Fan-outs are finished with colored “Rock Series” Mesh Covering to help keep cables tangle-free and protected.
