Play the video full-screen on your phone. Hold the screen where the camera can see it and place the phone’s speaker next to the microphone. Watch the output you’re actually trying to align—not just the camera monitor.

Each time you hear the click, look at the diamond:

• Left of zero: Audio is early — add delay

• At zero: Audio and video are aligned

• Right of zero: Audio is late — reduce delay

Make an adjustment and watch the next pass. The test repeats every two seconds, so there is no need to stop or record anything.
